Basic Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics

Prof. S. RAMAMRUTHAM is a well known author of more than dozen books on
various subjects of civil engineering which are followed by engineering
students and practising engineers all over the world.
Earlier, soon after obtaining his Bachelor of engineering degree from the
University of Mysore in 1955, he worked as a renowned lecturer in the
National Institute of Engineering, Mysore handling several civil engineering
subjects. He was also responsible in setting up of the hydraulics laboratory of
the institute. He has also many technical papers published to his credit and
has done original work in the analysis of structures. Later on, he set up an
engineering institution of his own, in the capital offering technical education
to students of civil engineering. He is particularly, very popular for his
examination oriented lecture series meant for students preparing for the
UPSC Engineering Services Examination. As an authority in the field of
structures, Prof. S. Ramamrutham is consulted by various engineering
agencies.
Prof. S. RAMAMRUTHAM, a member of the Institution of Engineers (India), with
over 50 years of teaching experience, is a popular figure in the capital.
